Jenny Eather's new maths dictionary for students

Jenny Eather has been a long time contributor to the world of online teaching resources and unfortunately most of them have now gone to the commercial world. This year she has released a great animated maths dictionary which we can only hope will remain free for a little while longer yet.

It has hundreds of animated examples of key mathematical concepts that will look great on your interactive whiteboard.  Be sure to check it out here today.

Jenny Eather's Writing Fun - No Longer Free

Whilst I do not begrudge anyone in education the opportunity to make as much financial success from their expertise as possible there is always the ugly issue of having to pay to learn when the commercialisation of education occurs.

Jenny Eather - The brains behind rainforest maths has now monetized her brilliant writing website www.writingfun.com which is a real shame for teachers like myself around the globe who used this on a very regular basis with their students.

The site is free until September 1.

We wish Jenny Eather all the best in taking the site in a new direction and the search begins for another great FREE e.  I'd love to hear any suggestions.

Jenny Eather's Writing Fun - The best place to teach students about writing on the web

I have been using this site for a number of years now regularly to teach my students about different text types and share examples with them and just realised that I do not have it up on Edgalaxy.

Jenny Eather's Writing Fun is a brilliant tool for any English teacher.  It contains step by step instructions on how to construct all major text types such as persuasive, explanatory, narrative and so on and has loads of examples from students to share on your interactive white board.

It also contains a range of planning tools and aids to help your students get the most from their writing sessions.  Quite simply this is my number one pick for writing resources and I strongly recommend you check it out here.
