To celebrate world teachers day Google has released a preview of Google Classroom. What is it you may ask?
Google classroom looks to be the missing link that will separate Google apps for business from Google Apps for Education.
Essentially it is a learning management system for teachers to offer quick and easy way to create/organize assignments, give feedback and communicate in real time with students. Something GAFE already allows but this appears to streamline that process further.
Google Classroom utilises Google Docs, Drive and Gmail in order to complete the aforementioned tasks, automatically creating folders in the cloud-based repository for each student when there's a new assignment.
"Classroom is based on the principle that educational tools should be simple and easy to use, and is designed to give teachers more time to teach and students more time to learn," writes product manager Zach Yeskel.
Unfortunately this product is only in a trial phase at the minute but the good news is that you can apply to be a part of the trial here.
In the meantime check out the video above for a complete overview.
