Websites to explore Science at the Movies

How many times have you watched a movie and thought to yourself that cant happen? or what a load of rubbish.  Well here are a few web sites that go through some of the biggest films of all time to credit and discredit theri scientific validity.  Most of them include clips and would surely engage and stimulate students.

Sci-Fi Science blunders hall of infamy - Links to clips and critical reviews of some of the biggest sci-flicks of all time looking at physics anti matter etc.

Three films that would make Einstein blush - BBC sciecne team go over some absolute stinkers of the last few decades

The five best and Worst Science based movies of all time - Pretty self explanatory - great reading activity for kids - and they can write responses too.

Insultingly Stupid Movie Physics - Nerds who couldn't take it anymore fight back - lasers, explosions, deep space physics.

Good and Bad science in Popular Sci-Fi Movies - global warming, Dinosaurs and analysis of special effects.

High School students will enjoy reading through these and have plenty to say about their favourite action and sci-fi flicks.  I'd love to hear some of yours.
