Jenny Eather's Writing Fun - Brilliant Text Teaching Tool

I have been using this site for a number of years now regularly to teach my students about different text types and share examples with them and just realised that I do not have it up on Edgalaxy.

Jenny Eather's Writing Fun is a brilliant tool for any English teacher.  It contains step by step instructions on how to construct all major text types such as persuasive, explanatory, narrative and so on and has loads of examples from students to share on your interactive white board.

It also contains a range of planning tools and aids to help your stuidents get the most from their writing sessions.  Quite simply this is my number one pick for writing resources and I strongly recommend you check it out here.

Yes, this is a great tool. I love how it gives text examples from low to high ability. This helped my Gr6/7s as they came to see the different sections to narrative texts.

I'm currently using that writing tool to help my children about the fundamentals of writing. The kids enjoyed every activity that we are doing using that tool. Another factor is the design and graphics of the site - it keeps them active.

I can say is that it is an effective medium for teaching. One of my kids had an essay assignment the other day and I was surprised to know that he got the highest point in his class. They can now compose well-written essays all by themselves. Thanks for this tool. 

This used to be a great site until it was seized upon by Spellodrome, now you must sign up and soon payment will be needed. Anyone know an alternative?
